Despite what most people think, being listed on search engines does not automatically happen. There are certain guidelines that you must know in order to submit to the major search engines. Also, if you are a nonprofit that deals with more universal themes like ecology or homelessness, it would be beneficial to try to rank high on certain keywords like "save the earth".
