Affiliate Fundraising Ideas: Insurance Companies. There is a super cool insurance company name PLH Insurance that will donate 1% of the premium of the insurer to the nonprofit of their choice. They primary insure in California but if you are in a different state I would write to them and see what they can offer. I've been corresponding with the people who work there and have been very impressed with them. Also, I know a company that uses their services and are very happy with them. So they come highly recommended. How does it work? Sign up your nonprofit for their affiliate program (the "how to become affiliate" button is clearly visible on their home page). Follow the instructions on how to place their creative on your website and promote them. If you feel uncomfortable recommending an insurance company that you have no experience with, I give you permission to use my site as a valid recommendation. It could be something like "Fundraising Mom from www.fundraisingmom.com personally recommends PLH insurance" There is HUGE fundraising potential here! I would advertise them not only on the website but also in your newsletters, meetings and other events. Try to get businesses in your community to sign up.
