Selling newspapers and magazines through your site could be very rewarding.  Statistically, an average household buys 3-5 subscriptions to magazines/newspapers per year.  Magazine newsstands and some newspapers offer very lucrative affiliate programs.  

What is so great about magazines is that you can always find one or many that are suitable to your cause.  Recommend them or have members recommend the ones that they love and so forth.   

Usually you can sign up as an affiliate to one popular newsstand that offers 1000's of magazines and newspaper subscriptions.

Some ideas on how to promote such a program:

• Send out emails to family and friends encouraging them to buy magazines from your store.

• Before any major holiday (especially Christmas) send out another email to the group reminding them how magazines are a great gift that last a whole year.  I would even recommend titles of magazine that you or some of your member have had good experience with.

• Advertise your store in the local paper, encouraging people to purchase magazine from your store which will help your organization.
